Waterman's Park

Introduction

Waterman's Park has recently been refurbished due to loss of public space opposite. As part of the project entrances and signs were upgraded through a community arts project. Metalwork artists Shelly Thomas based at the Forge in Kew Bridge Steam Museum worked with young people and a series of public meetings guided the designs. Either end of the park are metal arches, with symbols and herons on steel columns. Funded by LB Hounslow, the work was completed in 1997.
