Larden Cottage (also known as Brockton Grange)

Introduction

Larden Cottage is a villa set in grounds inclosed from Mogg Forest. In the late 18th century the grounds were newly planted up with forest trees. The property was much embellished in the 19th century, including the creation of Cottage Pool, an ornamental lake formed by the construction of a massive dam on Brockton Brook.
