This rose bed is a memorial to 20 men of the Welsh Guards Training Battalion who were killed through enemy action at this place in 1944. A memorial tablet gives the names and dates of the dead.

History

The deaths resulted from enemy action on June 30th, 1944. The memorial was unveiled on June 30th, 1994.
