Brief Description
The 1st edition Ordnance Survey map shows a rectangular pool and parkland with lakes. There is a rectangular layout to the south between the house and the park. There are also shrubberies and plantations. Tree belts, including conifers, shelter the garden and parkland from the road to Maynards Green. It is not clear if these features still exist.
History
By the time of the 1899 Ordnance Survey map, no tree clumps are shown in the park and one of the lakes has gone. Additional glasshouses are shown. The site is called Stillyans Tower, and was affected by a railway line to the west. The 1910 Ordnance Survey map shows that the parkland had been lost and the site was, by then, called Stillyans.
