Brief Description

The focal point of the gardens is the sundial, made of York stone and enclosed by railings, commemorating 2nd Lt Edward Bonvalot. In 2003 the sundial was relocated and repaired.

History

The garden was presented by Emily Bonvalot on 5th August 1922, in memory of her son who was killed at Loos on October 8th, 1915.
