Brookland Hall 577

Welshpool, Wales

Pgds 20090829 163709 Brookland1

Brief Description

Brookland Hall is a modest, late-19th-century house set in a small mature park of the same period. A fine drive curves up to the house through undulating parkland enhanced by tree planting. There are relict formal and walled kitchen gardens associated with the house.

The late-19th-century house was originally built as a stopping place between Welshpool and the Curling family home at Maesmawr. The parkland was laid out at the same time. The house passed out of the family in the mid-20th century and later opened as a school and golf academy. The park is no longer used as a golf course.
