Brief Description
Rhowniar has a country house garden laid out in conjunction with the house when it was built in 1910. Features include a woodland garden with azaleas and rhododendrons. There is a terraced lawn with formal borders at the front.
History
Rhowniar was built as a private residence. It became a Youth camp and Conference Centre, and was later extended as Outward Bound Girls School. The mid-1960s extension was recently demolished, returning property to its original footprint.
