Lower Sandhill (also known as Lower Sandhill House)

Introduction

The 1874 Ordnance Survey map shows a house with a garden, surrounded by pasture arable and a hop garden. It is a typical High Weald farm. The 1961 Ordnance Survey map shows the same site unaltered. On the 1996 Explorer map the site is called Lower Sandhill House, and there is some division in the fields.
