Brief Description
The grounds of Dankeith House are the setting for a static caravan park. Some elements of the structure of the 18th- and 19th-century designed landscape remain.
History
The designed landscape at Dankeith dates from the 18th century or earlier. In the mid-18th century there were tree-lined parks and an avenue. This avenue was later replanted further to the west and included 'Symington Mount'. A block of planting to the west of the house was probably added during the early-19th century.
