Kilmarnock, Scotland

Brief Description

The designed landscape at Craig House is modest in scale but contains a variety of interesting trees in its woodland, which has some recognised wildlife interest. The house has recently been converted into flats, partly financed by building a number of houses on the grounds.

History

The compact estate at Craig House comprised parkland and policy woodland by the mid-19th century. A new house was built in 1835 but later fell into ruins.
