Brief Description

Victory Park has facilities for football, tennis and cricket, as well as a skate park.

History

The park was acquired in the 1920s with a view to creating a memorial for those who gave their lives in World War 1. Much of the work for laying out the park was done as a community project, with help from local people and businesses. The children's playground was developed from 1933 and the park was opened in May 30th, 1953.
