Brief Description
This site has a house with grounds and small park to the south-west of High Street. Tanner Brook lies to the south and Swan Lane is to the west. This is an irregular site, with the house situated towards the northern boundary. There is a small avenue leading from the road to the house. The whole area has now been built over.
History
By the late-19th-century, the area was being developed and the London and North Western Railway line had cut through the site. Housing and factories were being developed and a recreation ground had been established to the north of the site.
