Heywood Park is a public park at the junction of High Street and Lever Street.

History

The park was known as Heywood Recreation Ground in the late-19th-century. Part of the land was given by Robert Heywood Esq. The remainder was held under lease by the Corporation at a yearly rent of £143 l3s 3d. The annual cost of maintenance in 1898 was £772, the capital cost of the park being £5395 15s 11d.
