High Glanau

Introduction

High Glanau, overlooking the Usk valley, was the last home of Henry Avray Tipping. The gardens he created over a seven-year period in the early-20th century have a well-preserved structure, including terracing and a pergola. There are also wild gardens with winding paths in woodland areas, one in a steep-sided valley with a stream.

Arts & Crafts house, set on a steep hillside above Monmouth with its spectacular views over the Vale of Usk towards the Brecon Beacons.
