The Grove Park, Sittingbourne

Introduction

The park includes a cricket pitch, tree avenue and woodland walks.

The arboreal character and rural quality belies its urban situation within a district of residential housing, alongside the busy London Road. Avenues of mature beech, oak and sycamore screen the east and west aspects and merge into a woodland walk on the slope beyond the cricket pitch. This is the setting for cricket on a summer's day, and makes Grove Park one of Sittingbourne's most popular recreation grounds.
