Brief Description

There are raised flower beds and shrubs at the entrance to the memorial garden. A central lawn is encircled by a herbaceous border. There are two lily ponds and a pergola set on a raised terrace. Seating is provided in alcoves within the tall yew hedges.

History

The garden was opened by Princess Elizabeth in 1950, and commemorates those who gave their lives in World War 2.
