Brief Description

The recreation ground is on sloping land and is slightly triangular in shape. The site is used for school sports, village events and public sports. There are current plans to enhance the play facilities (2015).

History

The Devoran War Memorial Recreation Ground was dedicated in 1919 on land given by Viscount Clifden / Clifton. The memorial ground is dedicated to those from the village who served and died in World War 1 (their names are recorded on the Village Hall Roll of Honour).
