Charingworth Manor

Introduction

The gardens at Charingworth Manor are associated with a Tudor-Jacobean mansion house originally built in the early-17th century and currently (2008) functioning as a hotel.

Sale particulars of 1780 described a mansion house with fine views. Buildings included a barn, a cider house, a cider mill and a granary 'encompassed by a spacious yard and green court'. There were also pleasure gardens, kitchen gardens and mature orchards.
