Brinsop Court

Introduction

A 14th-century moated hall house whose gardens were remodelled from 1910 by Avray Tipping, who laid out a paved courtyard garden and added a pergola. In the 19th century the garden was regularly visited by William Wordsworth, who planted a cedar here.
