Brief Description
The war memorial features a soldier in Boer War uniform standing on a pedestal. To each side of the memorial is a white ashlar pillar giving the names of the fallen of World War 1, with the names of those who lost their lives in more recent conflicts inscribed on the central plinth. The memorials are set within the garden of remembrance on the promenade at Rhyl.
History
The war memorial was originally unveiled on a different site in 1904. The garden of remembrance was opened in 1948, at which time the memorial was moved there.
