Tankerton Castle (also known as Whitstable Castle, Tankerton Tower)

Introduction

The castle and grounds were purchased for use as a town park in 1935. Although there has been recorded activity on the site since the 14th century the castle and gardens are 19th century in origin. The garden features terraces, sunken gardens, topiaries and a bowling green.
