Brief Description

Stanage Park has early-19th century Picturesque parkland improvements, a castellated house and enclosed garden which survive almost intact. There is also a mid-19th-century arboretum and formal terraced gardens.

History

Stanage Park was the last of Humphry Repton's three recognised Welsh landscape commissions. Repton's designs are recorded in a 'Red Book', which is still kept at the house.
