Silia

Introduction

Silia comprises a late-19th-century arboretum situated west of the early-20th-century house, gardens and small park. The arboretum is owned by the Woodland Trust and open to the public, while the house and gardens are privately owned. The arboretum contains fine specimen trees, particularly conifers. Connections with the Banks family of nearby Hergest Croft, Herefordshire, probably influenced some of the planting.
