History

There was rapid encroachment on the north west corner of this site by the end of the 19th century. At this time the pleasure grounds were enhanced and a second park,with lodge, was made to the north.

Springhill, with its park and garden, lies in open fields to the east of the Oldham Road with a long entrance drive across the park from Buersill.

There was encroachment on the northwest corner by the end of the 19th century. However the pleasure grounds were enhanced at that time and a second entrance to the park, with a lodge, was made to the north. The drive is now less formal and runs past a pond.
