Old Gwernyfed

Introduction

Old Gwernyfed is an early-17th-century mansion with well-preserved and extensive earthwork and architectural remains of a 17th-century terraced, formal garden. There are also walled enclosures and a striking ornamental gateway. Traces of avenues that were originally part of the parkland now belong to Gwernyfed Park.
