Memorial Recreation Ground and Garden, Alford

Introduction

This recreation ground is in memory of the dead of World War 2. Names of the dead are recorded on two brick pillars at the entrance, supporting a metal archway. More recent features of the park include a junior football pitch, footpaths and a skateboard park, which were added in 2001-5, along with an obelisk added in 2006.
