Brief Description

Ashington Cricket Ground is a memorial to the dead of World War 2. It features a number of trees, each one planted in memory of one who fell during the conflict. At the back of the pavilion is a dedicatory bronze plaque.

History

The site was presented by William Henry Arthur, seventh Duke of Portland, in memory of the men and women of Ashington who gave their lives in World War 2.
