Hilltop

Introduction

Hilltop had a house with grounds to the east of Barrow Lane (later Rappax Road). It was a roughly rectangular site incorporating the wooded area of Tomfield Bank. This is one of a number of similar sites in the area and may represent the early stages of development taking the form of single large detached dwellings in their own grounds. The site is now lost, and has been developed for housing.
