The Clough

Introduction

The Clough was a house with grounds to the west of Barrow Lane (later Rappax Road). It was a roughly rectangular site incorporating the wooded area of Bently Bank. This is one of a number of similar sites in the area and may represent the early stages of development, at this point taking the form of single large detached dwellings in their own grounds. The site survives in part as open ground.
