Josiah Lane
Josiah Lane was a designer and maker of landscape features who worked in the 18th century. He was the son of Joseph Lane with whom he made grottoes at Painshill Park, Surrey and Wardour Castle, Wiltshire. Lane also made grottoes at Bowood in Wiltshire in the 1780s and at Fonthill, Wiltshire from 1796.
