Mount Pleasant Park (also known as Clovelly Peace Park)

Introduction

Mount Pleasant sits on this grassy knoll, and is known locally as Peace Park. This is a popular picnic spot for visitors to Clovelly. There are benches to sit upon with spectacular views across Bideford Bay.

A slate tablet is set into the wall at the entrance, dedicating the site to those who lost their lives in World War 1. There is a memorial cross on a promontory overlooking the sea. The site was improved and renovated in 2014.
