Memorial Recreation Ground, Taddington and Priestcliffe 8668

Brief Description

This site is mainly meadow land, providing a habitat for many wild flowers. The High Well, previously the main water source for the village, is on this site, as are several lumps and bumps in the ground surface which may be indicative of old lead workings.

The Right Honourable Thomas Baron Denman gifted the land to the people of the parish at the close of World War 1.
