Brief Description

Towards the southern corner of the village is a field which is held in trust by the Oxford Preservation Trust. It is intended to be kept as an area of peace and natural beauty. The field has wildflowers, a stream and woodland on the boundaries.

History

Six men of the village lost their lives in World War 2. Sarah Kirk, the mother of one of those killed, began fundraising for a memorial site and purchased the field jointly with the Oxford Preservation Trust.
