Brief Description
Knock Castle is situated on the west coast of Ayrshire with views over the Firth of Clyde. The designed landscape includes parkland and a walled garden.
History
At the beginning of the 17th century Knock Castle is described as well planted. The castle was in ruins by the late-18th century and a new house was built in the early-1850s. The remains of the previous house were incorporated into the designed landscape as a garden folly.
