Brief Description

The castle dates from the late-12th century, with a 17th-century house altered in 1847-51. There are lawns in the bawn, and steeply terraced gardens to ponds.

History

The 12th-century castle was replaced by the early-17th century Plantation Castle, remodelled mid-19th century.
