David Welch Winter Gardens

The Winter Gardens is one of the largest indoor gardens in Europe, as well as the third most visited garden in Scotland. The garden includes the Temperate House, Corridor of Perfumes, Fern House, Victorian Corridor, Japanese Garden, Tropical House and Arid House.

10.30am – 5pm March to October

History

20th Century

In the 1900s the David Welch Winter Gardens was added to the park. Unfortunately, it was severely damaged in 1969 due to extreme gales, so it was demolished and replaced with the building we know and love today.
