Bath Air Raids Memorial Garden 8361

Brief Description

This small, circular memorial garden has a central plaque on a stone plinth in a planted island bed. The garden commemorates those who lost their lives during the 'Baedeker Blitz' on Bath in April 1942.

The garden is on the site of an air raid shelter which received a direct hit during the bombing of Bath in 1942. The site was opened as a memorial garden on the 50th anniversary of the bombing.
