Henry Davis Pochin

The chemist Henry Davis Pochin patented key processes in industry. A director of over twenty companies, Pochin also assisted in the recovery of the bankrupt Metropolitan Railway Company. In 1874 he took ownership of the Bodnod estate, changing the name to Bodnant, and remained there until his death twenty years later.
