Thorngrove is an 18th-century house on an ancient site. It is set in a landscape park. The property was owned by Lucien Bonaparte from 1810 to 1814. Features include extensive lawns, a serpentine lake, an observatory, orchards and parkland.
The present house replaces earlier houses on the site beginning in the 16th century. Lucien Bonaparte lived here from 1810 to 1814.
