Introduction

The ‘Old Haa of Brough’, was built by Robert Tyrie, a local merchant. He completed the building in 1672, and it went on to become the home of various merchants and Hanseatic Traders.

The garden is a sheltered space which has been carefully landscaped and tended over the years.

The garden sites the Inuksuit Statues, built by a local builder and the project was led by local artist, Mike McDonnell. These were developed as a geology project with the children from the Burravoe Primary School.
