Stanbrook Abbey, a Benedictine nunnery designed by Edward Welby Pugin in 1878, stands on the site of an earlier house in a small park.
The abbey was built in 1878 as a Benedictine nunnery to the design of Edward Welby Pugin. The site had previously been occupied by a house, whose two mid-19th-century lodges survive.
