Near the site are 'Swift's Chair', an early-18th-century pair of gate lodges and ponds. There are mature trees, an arboretum with record firs and forest planting, and an early-19th-century Bee House.

History

This is a 17th-century demesne associated with an early-18th-century house, now gone. The present house dates from 1819.
