Nathaniel Ireson

Nathaniel Ireson was probably born in the neighbourhood of Nuneaton in 1686. He was apprenticed to Francis Smith of Warwick, and became skilled in many fields. He worked as a master builder, architect, brickmaker, and sculptor, as well as opening a quarry on his own land. He bought Windmill Farm in Somerset in 1726, and built Ireton House on the site.
