George Shakespeare

George Shakespeare was a master carpenter and architect who worked throughout the 18th century. He was employed in the Office of Works for a time and his most significant work was his alterations at Cobham Hall, Kent for the Third Earl of Darnley in 1711. The work was carried out in the neo-classical style.
