David Lawson Jacques

Dr David Jacques is a consultant, lecturer and author on historic landscapes, parks and gardens.

He was the first Inspector of Historic Parks and Gardens at English Heritage from 1987 to 1993.

From 1993 Dr Jacques was Director of UK Parks and Gardens, the online database which preceded Parks & Gardens UK.

Among his written works is Georgian Gardens: the Reign of Nature.
