The Spanish Garden is made up of a box-hedged parterre. It is called the Spanish Garden because of the origin of the well head at its centre. The garden is also believed to be located on the site of the monastic burial grounds associated with the abbey.
The Spanish Garden was created between 1861 and 1900.
