Brief Description

This was a shooting lodge for Shane's Castle. Features include views, a ha-ha, a pond, a glen and rockery, a cultivated productive garden with herbaceous borders and a gate lodge.


The site was developed before 1777 with landscaping and extensive tree planting. There is also a later garden of the mid-19th century. The rock garden and glen date from after 1927.
