Introduction

Cairndhu is a gentleman's summer residence of 1875, formerly Sea View. The house stands next to the demesne of Carncastle Lodge and is linked to Carnfunnock. Features include sea views, shelter trees, steep terracing, a productive garden and glasshouses. Part of the site is now a golf course.
