Introduction
Features of the park include a few mature trees, grass terracing, a recent fountain in the former round pond and boundary walls.
Also known as the People's Park, Brooke Park was the site of the city's first orphanage. Brooke Park owes its existence to two local 19th century philanthropists, John Gwyn and James Hood Brooke.
