Violet Insole

Violet Insole was the daughter of George Frederick Insole and Jessy Ann David.

She was well known for her collection of alpines and irises at Insole Court.

She developed three irises in 1930: Trigo, Dog Rose and Golden Flare. She was the donor of the British Iris Society ‘Insole Challenge Cup' for a display of 12 spikes of iris in not less than 9 varieties.
